Our Story
It all kicked off ages ago when two misfits crossed paths. Kenny Rounds and Clayton James met at a Love Junkies gig where Kenny was performing that night. As he made his way to the stage, he playfully slapped Clayton on the ass. Talk about fate! They spent a few years in different bands before realizing they were better together, playing in Violet Trip and later forming The Dirty Martinis. After a while, and plenty of wild stories from the road, they decided to move on. Kenny moved away, and Clayton started The Lucky Odds while Kenny launched Kenny Swagger & the Pocket Rockets. Despite the distance, they stayed connected, with Clayton even becoming the godfather to Kenny's lovely daughter. Time flew by, and Kenny felt the urge to return home. Almost immediately, these two jack-holes formed a new band, calling themselves The Filthy Martinis. That didn’t last long, though, as they shifted their focus to grunge and rock, changing their name once again. They jammed with a few bass players until they stumbled upon another misfit, Victor Costilla, aka Eric The Brown, who quickly became part of the crew with his skills from The Vinyl 45s. Not wanting to miss out on all the fun, guitarist Todd Walker from Papa Wood joined the fray. And just like that, Regeneration X was born! Playing everything from Alice In Chains to Violent Femms, with some Tom Petty and Doors thrown in for fun. These guys are just too stupid to quit, so catch them at your local venue, but steer clear of any questions about the Counting Crows piano incident.
